Hunchback and little wings fairy home

There is a story about an old Irishman who loved his whisky and was known for beating others when it comes to holding down his whisky..  One day, he brought a dozen of whiskey bottles into the woods and sat on a rock covered with ferns when he spotted a Leprechaun dressed in a neat green suit, smoking a pipe. The old Irishman challenged him, boasting he can out drink the little Leprechaun.  The Leprechaun agreed to provide him with a chest of gold coins if he should lose while the Irishman said he could have his vintage gold watch and family precious stone gem ring.  When it  came down to the last bottle of whisky, the old Irishman passed out, and awoke the  next morning,  to find his vintage gold watch and his precious stone gem ring gone.

Once upon a time, a little girl wanted to surprise her mother with primroses for Mother’s Day. She wandered into the woods in search of them, but got lost and started to cry.  As the hours passed, her cries became louder, until she noticed little heads peering from behind the rocks, brushes and ferns. The primrose fairies emerged, led the little girl back home, and offered her primroses to bring to her mother.

There was a story about a young charming man, Luke, who saw the most beautiful female fairy, named Sue, in the woods.  He was so much in love that he professed his undying and eternal love for her.   Sue’s parents, who strongly objected to their daughter marrying a human, said, ”I will approve of your marriage on one condition.  If he breaks his vow of loving you forever, he will be turned into a pig.” Sue knew her parents would not approve of their marriage unless she agreed with this condition.  They were married, and one night six months later, Luke arrived home late and went to bed. The next morning, the Sue woke up, sobbed, and left him.

Seahorses Fairy

When I was a child, grandma would tell wonderful tales about fairies living in the woods. Grandma is now 91-years-old, and unable to walk but a few feet before needing to rest. We decided to move grandma to a cottage in the woods where she could enjoy nature. I visited grandma daily, cooking for her, helping her to dress, and tending to her primrose garden. She liked to sit on the porch, enjoying the warm sunlight and cook breeze, while surrounded by nature. Now and then, she would point to something in the air, stating she saw some fairies pass by. I thought she must have seen a butterfly, dragon fly, or some other bug.

There were strange incidents that occurred such as freshly picked primroses appearing in her vase. I knew that she was incapable of picking them. Grandma would say that the fairies put them in the vase. One morning, grandma was dressed in her favorite white dress , waiting for me to make breakfast. After breakfast, I left her on the porch and proceeded inside to do some cleaning. When I checked on her, she was gone! She was nowhere to found. A search party went out looking for her but to no avail.

A week later, while I was working on her primrose garden, I looked up and saw my grandma as a fairy, hovering in the air with her wings and , wearing her white dress. There were several tiny flower faeries with her as well. These were the fairies that grandma talked about in her fairytales. She gave me a warm smile, and then vanished.

There was an old woman who lived in a cottage, and moved very slowly. She kept a beautiful primrose garden and always left several buckets of water there. The little primrose fairies would arrive in crowds to drink from the bucket or wash their faces.  Afterwards, they would play and dance alongside the little woman, as she clapped and danced hands to the beat. The old woman danced like she was in her twenties.

Killmoulis

Killmoulis is the mill spirit in the Scottish lowlands. He is a mischievous creature, closely related to the Brownie family. He has a large nose with no mouth. He takes in food by inhaling through his nose.

He is fond of mischievous, pranks, can be controlled by the miller. He is more of a nuisance than help.

Brownie

Name also be spelled Broonie, Browney, Browny: Brownie is described as being like a small, brown, shaggy human. Sometimes naked and sometimes wearing ragged brown clothes. In some instances brownie is said not to have a nose, but two nostrils.

They make themselves responsible for the farm or house in which they live; a brownie will often become personally attached to one member of the family. In return he has a right to a bowl of cream or best milk and to an especially good cake.
